Does the MeteorLight fit in a Chuckit®?
Yes, it can be used in the Chuckit® and other commonly found ball-throwers. A note of warning: Please do not use in the higher velocity sling-shot like products. They may cause the ball assembly to come loose and damage the MeteorLight K-9 ball.
How do I turn the product on and off?
You turn the ball on and off by pressing and holding the button momentarily until flashing stops. We designed the switch to be quite firm, so it may be easier to push the button against the corner of a table or step on the ball to activate the on/off switch.
The LED housing and battery compartment sometimes falls out when I'm playing fetch with the ball. How can I keep that from happening?
The LED housing and battery compartment were designed to stay firmly inside the ball, however in a very small percentage of situations, a dog with a highly active salivary system may lubricate the housing and cause it to fall out of the ball. If you find this to be the case with your dog, you can clean the saliva off the ball every few throws to make sure the ball stays intact. Please also supervise your pet at all times when using the MeteorLight LED Ball.
What type of batteries does the MeteorLight use?
When your batteries get low, they can be replaced with two 3V Lithium 2016 coin-cell batteries. Extra batteries can be purchased at NiteIze.com under the product name Nite Cell or can be found wherever batteries are sold.
