What to say. I bought two; keeping one for a backup in case the first one broke. You know, I've used this thing nearly every day of my life since i bought it. I've dropped it two stories off a parking garage once. Still works fine now. That left the only ding on the entire thing. Some paint has scraped off, but come on, it's just paint. I've taken it around the world. I'ts been to Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Afganistan, India, England... I've used it in scorching deserts, wet forests, frozen ice-fields, and run of the mill office buildings. This is, without a doubt, the most cost effective purchase I have ever made in my entire life. Now I'm writing this because the previous reviewer. I bought this in 1997 at the Fry's in Arlington, Texas. 17 years and still going strong. I've never had to use the backup. It doesn't have the features of the newer models, but I have no intention of replacing it. If I had to describe it in one word: Indestructible.
